I have an English version!

Hello, I am Hutchim and I was one of the team responsible for creating The SGCSIM 5.01. Just wanted to say that I really like the work you guys have done.
Ive spent the afternoon replacing all the french sounds with their English equivalents... So if you would like to host an English version let me know where to send it to...

this can I do. I´ve got every season on dvd. Hutchim. please send me the several episodes which you find the right sounds per mp.

It is fun to see people from other languages who involve themselves in that project. It's going to be big, I know it!

OK, thats it sent... It is just the sounds that have been replaced...mindyou half the text is in english anyway (and looks rather familiar...)
If you are making a future version I'll gladly put it into english for you again.
There are also a fair few offworld activations that could be added so let me know if you want sounds for them... they could easily just use the euronda code (ie gate opens and sound plays).

It is nice to see that sgcsim has inspired something this good which im sure was a challenge to code.

The English translations weren't integrated yet into the game but we will warn you of course as soon as the English version is ready =)

Great thanks for the news, will it also include an english readme ? And one other thing i noticed is that it doesn't work to dial atlantis with the A key is there any reason for that ? And is it possible to see the cam the malp is transmitting ? I hope you dont mind me asking but i think this is really cool stuff.

The English sounds I sent to Mach will work fine by merely replacing the french ones with them (although having a language selection feature would be cool...) If Mach wants I could upload them somewhere for people to download.... (although it is probably best if hosted here)

there was one french sound that I didn't translate... I've never actually heard it used so I had no context to work from....

For the translate, we don't need your service. But, if you have a lot of english sound...

plenty, just pm whichever ones you need. judging by the beta you can easily use the ones from my current patch - but should there be anything new you need just pm me.

Oh well, since nobody bothered to inform me of which specific sounds are needed I have got an english version of all the ones in the 1.5 demo.
If there is to be anything else added then let me know before release so I can get the sounds done.
